I have known Adela Merna for 18 years as my personal trainer., nutritionist, therapeutic massage and general health advisor. I am now 80 years old and in excellent health due to her care and interest in my well being during the last 18 years. Her advice on nutrition has helped me to keep my weight in a healthy range. Nothing is too much trouble for her in relation to helping me recover from any muscle or other injuries in a short time usually. I play tennis 3 times a week and have gym training twice a week with her. She is also excellent in advising me as to what supplements are suitable for me and which products are the best. We also discuss other sometimes more private issues that may prevent good health and she is always approachable on any topic with excellent suggestions. In summary I honestly believe she has contributed to my current wellbeing in a considerable way to achieve a remarkably active third age for me.

I arrived at Adela’s with a rotator cuff ( RC) problem as well as muscle spasms. Adela made me feel relaxed straight away. She assessed my problem and then got to work with a pressure point massage to release blocked muscle paths and grumpy muscles that assist with overhead movement like trapezius. Her knowledge of the anatomy, together with health advice is second to none. I have been back to her to clear up my RC problem and am pleased to say, it all healed. She trained me and my husband in the gym for over 10 years. She taught us all principles of weight training and cardio. Every six weeks she would change our program to keep our training fresh and moving forward. I found her to be an excellent personal trainer. Very knowledgeable in the anatomy of training. She would go through each exercise to teach us perfect form. Showing us the muscles that you should be working whilst doing your training. I gained muscle, lost body fat and gained cardio fitness!! I am now able to train by myself because I know exactly how to perform my training program with proper form. She also teaches swimming!!

I have known Adela since 2003. She was my personal trainer at the gym that I joined after my second baby was born. I enjoyed training with Adela immensely and felt that she motivated me to train with an intensity that I can still maintain today. Since then, Adela has also taught me many things about family nutrition and nutrition for an athletic lifestyle, which is easy to integrate into a busy family environment. Adela has also developed a sport supplement regime which I have found easy to follow and stay compliant. We have also had some sessions of lymphatic massage which has assisted some lower limb swelling. I have always found Adela to be very upbeat and positive which I believe are very desirable characteristics for a nutritionist, personal trainer and remedial massage therapist.
